NY Times using WPF

September 17th, 2006

Suprisingly, the New York Times has developed a rich client reader application using WPF and .NET 3.0. I learned about it here.

Seems a bit tough on their core Apple using constituency ;-)

Any word on how many CPUs are required to run this?

Has anyone been able to download this? I can’t find the link on the page?

I figured it out. After you sign up with your email address on the page, they will send you a download link sometime, but I’m not sure when. The page was confusing because the text on my screen that says I was already registered is white on white! So much for readability :-)

Here is a link to a video showing off the times reader:

The demo starts about 2/3 of the way through.

Slate reviews it here – http://www.slate.com/id/2149888/ – quite a positive review as well.
