Tesco’s is already using Azure for its Tesco.com Accelerator for IE8 ) Very cool. Download the Windows Azure Tools for Microsoft Visual Studio March 2009 CTP from here if you want to follow Tesco’s lead.

The April 2009 MSDN Magazine has a number of articles worth a read, and a comment:

  • Building Distributed Applications With .NET Services – Aaron article is definitely worth a read if you haven’t started using the Azure Services Platform. For me the .NET Services Bus will hopefully turn into the application that I believe is sorely missed in the Microsoft stack today – HTTP Push ) Aaron concentrates on the NetEventRelayBinding features of .NET Services, which from a CloudTrader perspective is interesting, but fail in the RIA space from a zero-touch footprint perspective.
  • Using Silverlight 2 With ADO.NET Data Services – .NET RIA Services is build on ADO.NET Data Services!
  • Working With The .NET Service Bus – more details than Aaron’s article. It’s unfortunate that both the .NET Service Bus articles don’t appear to have used a latter CTP than what is available to the general public (
