Tesco Cloud and Thoughts on MSDN Magazine April 2009
Tesco’s is already using Azure for its Tesco.com Accelerator for IE8
Very cool. Download the Windows Azure Tools for Microsoft Visual Studio March 2009 CTP from here if you want to follow Tesco’s lead.
The April 2009 MSDN Magazine has a number of articles worth a read, and a comment:
- Building Distributed Applications With .NET Services – Aaron article is definitely worth a read if you haven’t started using the Azure Services Platform. For me the .NET Services Bus will hopefully turn into the application that I believe is sorely missed in the Microsoft stack today – HTTP Push
Aaron concentrates on the NetEventRelayBinding features of .NET Services, which from a CloudTrader perspective is interesting, but fail in the RIA space from a zero-touch footprint perspective. - Using Silverlight 2 With ADO.NET Data Services – .NET RIA Services is build on ADO.NET Data Services!
- Working With The .NET Service Bus – more details than Aaron’s article. It’s unfortunate that both the .NET Service Bus articles don’t appear to have used a latter CTP than what is available to the general public
